Stories by:

Chris Alonzo is a playwright, musician, and monologuist whose solo theatrical works have been produced in New York City, Austin, and Atlanta. He's the Marketing Manager for the Atlanta Fringe Festival (running June 3-9 in performances spaces throughout East Atlanta) and a former playwriting fellow with the New York Theatre Workshop. He will soon be relocating to Macon, GA with his beloved 13 year old son.

 

Tony Dunbar has been a computer scientist and engineer for more than 35 years. He spends his time now teaching and mentoring young scholars to build drones and other STEM activities. He’s a life long learner and co-founder of a private mathematics school for K-9th grades.

 

Mykal June is a writer, producer, and musician in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently making podcasts for iHeartMedia, she spent over a decade in public radio at WABE, where her work earned awards from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters and the Associated Press. She is co-host of WRITE CLUB, a live literary series which kicks the ass of most any poetry reading you’d care to name. Her writing has appeared in The Bitter Southerner, Creative Loafing Atlanta, Aaron Mahnke’s 13 Days of Halloween podcast, and the anthologies Bare-Knuckled Lit and 12 Authors 12 Stories 2018. Cat Nguyen works as a public health professional. Cat runs a free, monthly storytelling open mic, Stories Worth Sharing, on the third Tuesday of the month at Red Light Cafe in Atlanta, GA. Outside of storytelling, they like to bake cookies, ride bikes, and blues dance.

 

Jenn Sellers is a 3rd generation Atlanta native who has always enjoyed fly by the seat of your pants adventures and the stories that come along with them. Her most recent adventure of raising twin daughters has been at times arduous and at times boring while also full of growth, excitement, and so many stories! She is thrilled to share one of her many stories with you tonight.
